About

Studio Liselot Cobelens believes we need a new way of experiencing and seeing our landscapes. Landscapes are constantly changing. What seems familiar today may disappear tomorrow. Climate change and human intervention continuously reshape the world we inhabit.

Yet many of these transformations remain unnoticed—not because they are insignificant, but because we have lost the ability to observe them with care.

A landscape is never just a view. It is a living archive that carries stories and traces of Invisible connections that shape the way we experience a place.

Studio Liselot Cobelens creates a new way of looking at these landscapes. Through attention, observation and dialogue, the studio reveals the layers that are often hidden beneath the surface. Slow looking becomes a way of discovering.

The studio’s contemparary textile artworks emerge from this process of slow observing. Landscapes are not reproduced, but reimagined through colour and materials. Monumental tapestries and spatial installations become woven landscapes in which textile becomes a language of connection. Through its tactile qualities it invites a closer encounter—a moment to pause and experience a place differently. Where It bridges different perspectives and disciplines.

Working at the intersection of art, design and landscape, Studio Liselot Cobelens creates site-responsive artworks that transform the way we relate to our surroundings.
