Rewetted Peatland, de Peel
At the request of Biobased Creations: Embassy of Circular & Biobased Building, we developed a unique carpet and research project that reveals the relationship between the natural areas and surrounding land in the Peel.
Participants in the Embassy session can use the carpet to gain insight into the opportunities and challenges in the area.
Conservations landscapes
This carpet consists of eight different colors and clearly depicts the human structures in the area around the Deurnse Peel. After its production, the carpet acquired burn marks (due to wildfires in the area), and parts have been modified as an artistic performance.
This Peel carpet is part of the installation of the "Possible Landscape" program and travels throughout the Netherlands to stimulate discussions about the Dutch landscape.
